Steps in our asphalt paving process
Our experienced team first performs the excavation to prepare the surface for asphalt paving of driveways, parking lots or roads. If necessary, we can clear the land by removing large rocks, trees and stumps, and then haul them away in a container.
If the soil is clay-based and unstable, we remove and replace it, then level the surface. A geotextile membrane is then installed to hold the 0–¾-inch crushed stone that we spread over it in place. The stone is then compacted with our roller and leveled to serve as a base for the asphalt layer.
After applying a type of asphalt suited to the intended use of the surface, we level the asphalt to achieve a perfect finish! We leave a slight slope to promote proper water drainage.
Landscape design after asphalt paving
Upon request, our team then performs landscape design by installing sod around the asphalt parking lot or asphalt road. We can also plant flowers, shrubs, hedges and trees. We then perform hardscaping, as needed: construction of an interlock walkway, decorative wall, residential or commercial entrance, staircase, patio, etc.
For the roads we pave, we can also add rocks and hydroseeded topsoil to the slopes along the sides to help prevent erosion.
